Whistler Creekside
The Quiet Side
At
the bottom of the Dave Murray Downhill run lies Whistler Creekside,
the original development of Whistler. Only five minutes drive
to the main village, the Creekside has seen some exciting changes
in the last few years. Many visitors who are returning to Whistler
know that Whistler Creek is close enough to all the action in
the village to still be convenient but far enough away to be able
to escape it at will.
 The
Creekside Gondola serves Whistler Mountain, and is considered
a local favorite. Never as crowded as the Village gondola, the
Creekside
Gondola will whisk you up Whistler Mountain as quickly as
possible to give you first access to our great powder skiing!
With a full
grocery market, liquor store, bank, and several restaurants
and coffee shops, it is possible to get all your essentials here
in the Creekside. Franz's Trail has several new retail outlets,
and this summer has seen the begining of the Franz's
Trail Farmers Market every Saturday afternoon, with fresh
produce and works of art from local artists.
Nestled
at the foot of a grove of tall cedars between Nita and Alpha Lakes,
the Whistler Resort and Club is a comfortable Whistler family
hotel perfectly located to relax in this quieter area of Whistler.
Take
our canoes
out on Nita Lake for a paddle and soak in the great views of Whistler
Peak, or ride down the Valley trail to Alpha
Lake Park, where families enjoy summer days with a great swimming
area, tennis and volleyball courts, swing sets, playhouse, picnics
with BBQs, and more.
